I'm trying to decide between just doing a simple stage 1 tune on my 2018 Audi S3 or going all the way with a downpipe and intercooler for stage 2. My car is my daily and I sit in horrible Sheikh Zayed Road traffic every morning, so peak horsepower at 7000 rpm doesn't really excite me that much. What I actually want is better mid-range punch for merging and less of that lazy throttle response from a standstill. The thing holding me back is the extra cost and potential headaches with heat soak in summer if I push for more power. A friend suggested I go talk to Dyno Star Workshop since they apparently take time to understand how you actually drive instead of just chasing numbers. But I'm still torn, like is the extra noise and potential attention from cops really worth it for stage 2? Does anyone here run a stage 2 setup as a daily and regret it, or do you wish you went straight to the bigger power from the beginning? Also curious about fuel economy changes because people say both things. Really appreciate any honest thoughts before I start spending money.
