Really frustrated right now and hoping someone here has been through something similar and can offer advice. Bought my 2018 A5 last year as a Certified Pre Owned from the dealer in Dubai, specifically paid extra for the CPO warranty because I wanted the peace of mind that comes with it, and now that the gearbox is acting up with harsh 1st to 2nd shifts they're trying to weasel out of covering it. The service advisor is claiming the transmission issue is due to "normal wear and tear" which apparently isn't covered, but I've only put 15,000 kilometers on the car since I bought it and the total mileage is still under 80,000. How can a gearbox failure at this mileage possibly be considered normal? They're quoting me nearly fourteen thousand for a replacement and I feel like I'm being taken advantage of, the whole reason I went CPO instead of buying privately was to avoid exactly this scenario. I've been documenting everything and I'm ready to escalate this to Audi Middle East if I have to, but first I wanted to get a proper independent assessment from a specialist who knows these gearboxes inside out. Found https://auditransmissionrepair.ae/ while looking for experts who could provide a second opinion and potentially a report I can use to dispute the dealer's claim. Has anyone here actually managed to get a CPO warranty to cover transmission work after initially being denied, and what approach worked?
