For planting honeysuckle, dig a hole twice the diameter of the root ball, and add compost to the soil for extra nutrients. Add the plant, backfill the hole and water well. Honeysuckle can be propagated by stem cuttings, layering, or seeds, but cuttings are the simplest way. You can easily propagate the plant by cutting, dipping it in rooting hormone and planting it in damp soil. It will root in a warm, sunny location and can then be planted outside.
