Anyone Using Schulte Table for Brain Training?

  • Miguel Caldwell

I recently discovered something called a “Schulte Table” while looking into ways to improve attention and reading speed.

It’s basically a grid of numbers where you try to find them in order as fast as possible — sounds simple, but it’s surprisingly challenging and engaging.

    I tried this online version:
    Schulte Table

    Some things I found interesting:

    • It really forces your eyes to scan efficiently
    • Helps reduce “tunnel vision” when reading
    • Feels like a mix of game + cognitive training
    • You can actually track improvement over time

From what I’ve read, it’s used in speed reading training and even cognitive exercises.

Not sure how “scientific” the benefits are long-term, but it definitely feels like a good mental warm-up before work.

Has anyone here used Schulte tables regularly? Did you notice any real improvements?
